Job Overview

The Shift Lead supports the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow, strong team performance, and consistent adherence to company standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining a positive store environment, driving results, and fostering team development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in delivering a consistent, high‑quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes, resolving customer concerns, and modeling Scooter’s “Amazing” service standards
  • Maintain speed‑of‑service expectations during high‑volume periods by staying calm, directing workflow, and anticipating customer needs
  • Use downtime effectively to prepare the store, support team productivity, and maintain operational readiness
  • Build strong working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivators and providing clear, constructive feedback to support growth and performance
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales and encourage team engagement in achieving store goals
  • Accurately perform cash handling, operate the point‑of‑sale system, and follow all operational procedures
  • Ensure all team members follow proper health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Serve as a keyholder, executing all opening, midday, and closing procedures with accuracy and accountability
  • Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment
  • Assist the Store Manager with administrative tasks as assigned
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Work at least one weekend shift
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
