Overview
The Banquet Setup position is essential to ensuring that events run smoothly and guests have a memorable experience. This role involves preparing banquet spaces for events, including setting up tables, chairs, and other necessary equipment. The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry or hospitality and possess excellent customer service skills. A commitment to food safety and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare banquet areas by setting up tables, chairs, linens, and other necessary equipment according to event specifications.
  • Preventative Maintenance on tables, chairs, banquet equipment.
  • Assist in deep cleaning during slower months to maintain and assure that banquet spaces are ready for season.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure all items are ready for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces before, during, and after events.
  • Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any needs or concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred, particularly in banquet or catering settings.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Experience in serving, bussing, or restaurant operations is advantageous.
  • Culinary experience or training is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with hotel or coffee service environments can enhance your application.
