Wages:
Hourly wages are commensurate to experience and are paid weekly.
Tips:
Bear Cave Brewing is committed to bringing wage equity to the back of house. Our dishwashers receive an awesome paycheck each week. That’s right, we get paid weekly!
And bonus!!! You will receive tips for every hour worked. Tips will add between $10-30 an hour depending on the volume of guests and scheduled hours.
Open Positions:
1 full time 32-40 hrs/wk
1 part time 28-32 hrs/wk
Requirements & Skill-Set
- 4 years related experience in a high-volume, high energy kitchen
- A strong culinary acumen & ability to work independently
- A desire to work in a professional, fun, fast paced kitchen while working under pressure
- Maintain a clean organized work station at all times of day and throughout service
- Skill-set that properly uses kitchen implements, demonstrate knife skills and proper organization of a busy station and dishroom
- Desire to lead a station, prepare & complete and proper prep lists
- A strong culinary background with deep knowledge of basic culinary techniques such as sauce preparation, emulsification, vinaigrettes, sauteing, oven roasting, and bread making
- An interest in supporting local farmers and farmer’s markets
- Serve Safe Certification or ability to obtain certificate within 30 days of employment
Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines according to the State of Minnesota - Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to position self to move about, bend, lift & reach, and climb stairs
- The employee must move up to 25 pounds frequently
- Availability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to use app based programs that streamline communication, scheduling and task lists
