Job Overview

Position: Back of House (BOH) Team Member Position Summary We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Back of House (BOH) Team Members to support food preparation and kitchen operations at Taíno’s. BOH team members play a critical role in delivering high-quality, consistent dishes while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen. Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation meet expectations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, fryers, and ovens.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, storage areas, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and sauce preparation.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and FOH teams to complete orders efficiently.
• Assist with dishwashing, restocking, and end-of-shift cleaning duties.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or needs to supervisors.
• Properly store food to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by kitchen leadership.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn Puerto Rican cooking techniques and menu items.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-first mindset.
