At Centro Woodfired Pizzeria, we're looking for an experienced cook who is ready to take the next step into kitchen leadership.
As our Lead Line Cook, you'll be responsible for leading the line during service, setting the standard for food quality and execution, and helping develop the cooks around you. This is a hands-on leadership role—you'll be cooking alongside the team while ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen meets Centro's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the line during lunch and dinner service.
  • Maintain food quality, consistency, presentation, and ticket times.
  • Direct and support line cooks throughout each shift.
  • Train and mentor new kitchen team members.
  • Ensure recipes and portion standards are followed consistently.
  • Jump into any station as needed to keep service running smoothly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen.
  • Communicate effectively with management, prep cooks, and the front-of-house team.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and teamwork.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and professional kitchen culture.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of high-volume line cooking experience preferred.
  • Previous experience leading or training kitchen staff is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive during busy services.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
