Job Overview

The Shift Lead is a role that will be scheduled for some Lead shifts and some BOH shifts. The goal of this role is to grow over time into a full Supervisor role, where all your shifts will be Lead shifts. (within 6 months of employment)

  • Base hourly rate of $20 per hour for Lead shifts (increase to $21 after 90-days).
  • Tip pool is consistently $5-8 hourly, on top of your base pay.
  • Standard BOH shifts (non-Supervisor shifts): $19 per hour, plus tip pool.

Responsibilities - Lead/Supervisor

  • Serve as the “manager-on-duty” and function as the business opener or closer.
  • Leading and overseeing operations at the restaurant.
  • Ensuring quality control and cleanliness standards.
  • Running Expo station or Floating/helping BOH+FOH.
  • Dealing with guest issues/complaints or staff issues.
  • Attend weekly Supervisor meeting, help management to implement operation changes or work towards business goals.
  • Assist with prep team oversight/direction, accept vendor delliveries.
  • Fill out daily manager's Log Book and complete cash register closing.
  • Contacting Management if difficult problems arise.

Responsibilities - BOH Shifts

  • Food preparation, cooking equipment operation, ingredient handling.
  • Recipe adherence, team/line coordination, quality control.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing, maintaining an organized work station.
  • Equipment care and procedures, following safety regulations.
  • Adapt to volume and execute our systems in order to be efficient.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Supervisor, Lead, or Manager.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience as a cook, food preparation, or food handling.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs at times during your shift.
