Job Overview

As a server, you are responsible for creating a positive first impression and making every guest feel welcome and special. You can accomplish this by meeting and exceeding your guest’s expectations.
Serve guests in a courteous, helpful, and prompt manner. Responsible for coordinating serving stations and communicating with the front and back-of-the-house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds our guests’ expectations. Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared accurately and on a timely basis. Determine when meals have been completed, and total bills and accept payment.
Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience as a server in an upscale full-service restaurant.
  • Advanced knowledge of wine and spirits preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including, walking, standing, and/or lifting heavy items for extended periods of time.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
  • Ability to follow proper cleanliness and hygiene procedures.
  • Must work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests promptly and in a professional manner.
  • Guide guests through all phases of their dining experience.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of our menu and offerings.
  • Practice up-selling and suggestive selling when taking orders.
  • Manage groups efficiently through attentive service and precise order taking.
  • Demonstrate proper service techniques and delivery of food and beverages.
  • Oversee table maintenance and coordination of service with fellow team members.
  • Input accurate orders in the POS system according to Company procedures.
  • Support organization, cleanliness, and safety of the entire space.
  • Appropriately communicate with management and other service staff regarding guest needs or incidents.
  • All other duties assigned by the management team.
