Job Overview

Job Summary
We are currently seeking front of house team members to join us when we open. As a small taproom, we will not have separate roles for food prep and bartending. You could be asked to do either, but don't worry. Neither is too involved. On the food side, we are planning to have a panini press and some pre-packaged snacks. On the bartending side, your primary responsibility will be to promote and serve the beer that we brew on site. We will also have some PA wines and spirits. Not much experience mixing cocktails? Not to worry. The plan is to have some canned cocktails. Those and wine will be the primary offerings for those that may not drink beer. I will also be making some seltzer water as a non-alcoholic option.
Responsibilities

• Serve a variety of beers, including craft and specialty brews, while providing recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process orders and handle transactions accurately.
• Preparation of food items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations at all times.
• Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere, answer questions about beer selections, and provide information on brewing techniques.
• Assist in managing inventory by tracking beer supplies and notifying management when stock is low.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not necessary
• Knowledge of brewing processes is a plus, along with familiarity with various beer styles and flavors.
• Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively while maintaining quality service.
• Experience using POS systems to facilitate smooth transactions.
• A commitment to upholding food safety standards and practices is essential.

PA RAMP server/seller certification will be required prior to your first shift. If you are not yet certified, we can assist with that.
