Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for the dining experience through a warm and welcoming introduction
  • Maintained knowledge of food and drink menus to assist with to-go orders, pickups, and general restaurant inquiries
  • Manage reservations and seating flow while keeping the front area organized and efficient
  • Understand and utilize the floor plan layout to accurately guide guests to their assigned tables
  • Prepared tables for service (e.g., fill shakers, set glassware, silverware, sugar caddies, etc.)
  • Completed daily tasks and side work as assigned (e.g., clean menus, roll silverware, fill condiments, etc.)
  • Work closely with fellow serving, bartending, and bussing staff to provide quality service for our guests that feels seamless and keeps them happy and coming back

Skills

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (5+ hours)
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (e.g., glassware racks, cleaning supplies)
  • Strong multitasking skills (e.g., seating guests, answering phones, setting tables) while maintaining friendly and engaging service
  • Active listening skills to respond effectively to guest questions, complaints, or concerns and achieve a satisfactory outcome
